Calls for First Aid Refresher Course

St John Ambulance has revealed an alarming number of people are failing to do CPR refresher courses to update their first aid skills.

St John CEO Stephen Horton told Seven News: "CPR refreshers this year are down about 20 per cent, which is really alarming."

It is recommended a CPR refresher course is undertaken every year.

To encourage people to do that St John is running new one-hour sessions across Victoria throughout November and December.

Locations include Attwood, Ballarat, Bendigo, Croydon, Dandenong, Geelong, Melbourne, Mt Waverley, Traralgon, Werribee and Wodonga.
