The Heart Foundation is dedicated to reducing the dreadful effects of the number of people living with, or dying from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease.
 
Since they were established in Australia in 1959, they have funded world-class cardiovascular research, supported health professionals in their practice, developed health promotion activities, informed and educated the public, and assisted people with cardiovascular disease.

As Australia's peak national non-government cancer control* organisation, Cancer Council Australia advises the Australian Government and other bodies on practices and policies to help prevent, detect and treat cancer. We also advocate for the rights of cancer patients for best treatment and supportive care.

*Cancer control refers to actions to reduce the impact of cancer on people including: reducing cancer risk and incidence; improving early detection and treatment; and improving care and support for people affected by cancer.


Diabetes Australia is the national peak body for diabetes in Australia providing a single, powerful, collective voice for people living with diabetes, their families and carers. Diabetes Australia works in partnership with diabetes health professionals, educators and researchers to minimise the impact of diabetes on the Australian community. Diabetes Australia is committed to turning diabetes around through awareness, prevention, detection, management and a cure.

'myD’ (my diabetes) is a site that has been developed specifically for people aged 16 to 25 years living with diabetes.
 
The site provides general information on living with diabetes and covers ‘everyday’ topics like school, work, travel, driving and general health. The site also provides information and links to other sites of interest, places to go for more information, and there is a section for you to tell your story and talk about how you live with diabetes, here and now.

 

The National Stroke Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that works with the public, Government, health professionals, patients, carers & stroke survivors to reduce the impact of stroke on the Australian community.


Green Cross Australia is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation established in June of 2007 in Brisbane, with a vision to reconnect humanity and the environment. Green Cross Australia is committed to resolving conflicts involving the natural resources that put the environment at risk, and fostering sustainable partnerships between business, government and the community.
