Volunteering

St John Ambulance Australia volunteers provide a range of important community services across the country. Our 12,631 volunteers - the backbone of St John Ambulance Australia - provide the majority of these 1,341,510 hours of community services.

Click on one of the service areas below to find out more about volunteering with St John Ambulance:

First Aid Services at public events and during emergencies.

Community Care services to members of the community who need support with everyday activities, are suffering from illness or are feeling isolated due to a lack of mobility.

Ophthalmic programs in Katherine (Northern Territory), Oecussi (East Timor) and the St John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem.

Youth programs and services including St John Ambulance Juniors and Cadets as well as programs to support young people in the community.
